Rob Brantly swats a RBI triple and hits a sacrifice fly during a February 22 game between the UC Riverside Highlanders and the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. UC Riverside won 6-1. Brantly is a 6-foot-2, 200 pound sophomore catcher who is eligible for the 2010 First-Year Player Draft. Brantly played for the La Crosse Loggers during the summer and was named MVP of the Northwoods League. The sophomore played his high school ball at Chapparal High School in Temecula, CA.
